Another peculiarity of Sardinia is that the locals speak their own language: Sardinian. It is a Romance language, with its own grammar, which has several variation according to geographical regions. This language could be handed down for centuries because of the great attachment of Sardnians to their traditions. Traditions associated to customs and activities that for centuries have remained the same: sheep farming and agricuture. Related to land and nature, the pagan and the Christian element often intertwine in old feasts of ancient times, which recall the ancestral and primitive athmospheres where they originated.
